On the afternoon of September 19, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chanh Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said that he had just requested the authorities to invite the parties involved in the case of building a house on someone else's land to the Ward People's Committee to mediate and restore the land status.

Previously, the People's Committee of Chanh Hiep Ward received the "Request for Land Dispute Mediation" petition from Ms. Vo Thu Thao (born in 1992, from Vinh Long province, currently living in Chanh Hiep ward), reflecting that a household in the area had mistakenly built on plot 813, map sheet 82 on DX 066 street (formerly in Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province), with an area of 71.4 m2 .

On June 14, 2025, Ms. Thao's family discovered the incident and discussed solutions with the wrong builder, returning the land to its legal ownership, but so far, after more than 3 months of negotiation, there have been no results. The ward leader said that on the afternoon of September 19, he sent a letter inviting the relevant parties to the ward People's Committee to work on September 24.

In the coming time, the Ward People's Committee will expand the dissemination of land and construction laws to the people and strengthen inspections, proactively preventing the situation of "mistaken" construction of land plots as above.
