Hoan Kiem Ward offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs and gives gifts to those with meritorious services.

On the morning of August 29, Hoan Kiem ward held an incense offering ceremony at the monument "Hanoi - Winter 1946"; met to pay tribute to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, veteran revolutionary cadres and exemplary meritorious people.

Leaders of Hoan Kiem ward and many people from all walks of life offered incense and flowers to express their respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward Nguyen Hong Trang said that exactly 80 years ago, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. That moment was like a bell ringing, awakening the desire for freedom of millions of hearts, opening a new era - the era of independence, freedom and happiness.

During the journey of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, countless generations have fallen, leaving blood and bones on the battlefield, so that the country can be united. Among those heroic sons, Hoan Kiem ward is extremely proud to have thousands of outstanding sons who have gone to the battlefield to answer the sacred call of the Fatherland. Heroic Vietnamese mothers silently sent their husbands and children to the battlefield, sacrificing their flesh and blood, their most loving affection for the country. The uncles, the veteran revolutionary comrades, the pre-uprising cadres, the heroes of the armed forces have devoted their youth to independence, so that today's generation can live in peace .

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 this year, Hoan Kiem ward presented 1,334 gifts from the budget with a total cost of more than 2 billion VND to express gratitude to policy families.
