Quang Phu Ward proactively takes storm prevention and control measures

DNO - Before the forecast of storm No. 12 approaching the mainland, Quang Phu ward deployed forces, focused on supporting people to reinforce their houses and move their assets to safety.

Quang Phu Ward People's Committee held a meeting to deploy specific prevention and control work for each department and residential area. At the same time, proactively arranged forces and means to respond to storms and floods; especially in residential areas along rivers and low-lying areas.

Deploy measures to reinforce and ensure safety of houses, infrastructure works, and protect production, especially agricultural production.

Block and resolutely prevent people and vehicles from traveling or fishing on rivers, streams, flooded areas, underground areas, and overflowing areas when the storm makes landfall.

The Ward People's Committee directed the Ward Military Command to prepare adequate rescue equipment in key areas to promptly approach and handle all natural disaster situations.

Tam Thanh Border Guard Station and the City Border Guard Command deployed forces to support people in tying down their houses and bringing the elderly and lonely to safe storm shelters.

At the same time, step up announcements and propaganda to inform ships operating in sea areas about the location, direction of movement and developments of storms to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

In addition, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station has fully prepared facilities and food to be ready to welcome people to take shelter from storms and floods if necessary.
