Tan Ninh Ward: Medical examination, medicine and gifts for the elderly

On October 19, at Tan Ninh Ward Health Station, Tay Ninh Province, Tan Ninh Ward People's Committee coordinated with the Mobile Medical Volunteer Team under the Tay Ninh Provincial Red Cross to examine, provide medicine and give gifts to the elderly in the ward.

Doctors and nurses examine the elderly

Here, about 200 elderly people in difficult circumstances are examined by doctors and nurses for common internal diseases in the elderly such as: high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, bone and joint diseases, stomach disease, diabetes and some other chronic diseases.

At the same time, doctors prescribe blood sugar tests, ultrasounds, and electrocardiograms for cases showing signs of illness; thereby providing advice and communicating health care measures and preventing non-communicable diseases.

Leaders of the Department of Culture and Society of Tan Ninh ward and sponsors give gifts to the elderly

After the medical examination, each elderly person was given free medicine according to their health condition and a gift. Each gift was worth 250,000 VND, including 1 box of instant noodles, MSG, soy sauce, cooking oil, etc.

The total value of this medical examination, medicine and gift giving is 110 million VND, supported by Le Anh Company Limited (Ward 15, Tan Ninh Ward) and the Tay Ninh Mobile Medical Volunteer Team.
