According to the report at the Conference, Na Hang Nature Reserve has an area of over 21,200 hectares, of which 98% is natural forest, and is considered an important limestone mountain ecosystem in the North. The reserve currently records more than 1,100 species of higher plants, nearly 90 species of mammals, nearly 300 species of birds and many rare endemic species... Among them, the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey appears in many areas with about 50 individuals living, affirming that the monkey population in Na Hang still exists and needs to be strictly protected.
At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and sharing experiences on the advantages and difficulties in forest management and protection, biodiversity protection in Na Hang Nature Reserve; at the same time, they recommended that competent authorities continue to support funding, means, machinery and solutions for better implementation in the coming time...
