Quang Nam invites many medical bids, worth nearly 600 billion VND

On the afternoon of December 22, a leader of the Quang Nam Provincial Department of Health said that the Provincial People's Committee had signed and approved a plan to select contractors for 9 packages of drugs, chemicals, and medical supplies to address the drug shortage in hospitals in the province.

The series of bid packages that have just had their contractor selection plans approved have a total value of nearly 600 billion VND.

Of which, the package of medical supplies for orthopedic trauma, spinal nerves, cranial nerves, and surgical threads for public medical facilities is nearly 166 billion VND.

Bidding package for procurement of medical supplies for coronary, brain, congenital heart interventions, etc., nearly 138.6 billion VND. Bidding package for medical supplies for film, maxillofacial screws, eye surgery, syringes, and centralized arthroscopy, 127.2 billion VND. Bidding package for centralized procurement of chemicals, phase 1 and phase 2, more than 69 billion VND. Bidding package for procurement of medical supplies, needles, cotton, bandages, gloves, plaster casts, etc., 37.1 billion VND.

Quang Nam Province Traditional Medicine Hospital has just had its equipment procurement package with a budget of 84 billion VND cancelled.

In addition, there are a number of other packages such as: package for purchasing medical supplies for artificial kidneys - blood ultrafiltration - heart, centralized procurement of medical supplies for external digestive - urinary tract (20.1 billion VND); centralized package for purchasing general medical supplies (15.3 billion VND)...

The leader of the Quang Nam Provincial Department of Health said that after the contractor selection plan is approved, the Department of Health will urge the hospitals assigned to bid to speed up the implementation to soon have medicine, supplies, and chemicals to serve the medical examination and treatment for the people.

In addition, the bidding organization must be strictly implemented in accordance with regulations in organizing contractor selection.

Regarding the issue of purchasing medicine and medical equipment, recently, the Quang Nam Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital had its construction contract worth 84 billion VND canceled due to a series of errors and inadequacies in the organization of contractor selection by the investor and the bidding consultant.
