Quang Ninh: Many new products increase "attraction" for tourism

Quang Ninh province's tourism industry has focused on promoting solutions to attract tourists, contributing positively to local economic growth.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, by the end of July 2025, the total number of tourists to Quang Ninh will be more than 14.6 million, an increase of 13% over the same period in 2024; including more than 2.6 million international visitors.

Tourism revenue is estimated at VND36,700 billion, up 25% over the same period in 2024. Quang Ninh aims to welcome 20 million tourists in 2025, including 4.5 million international visitors.

The provincial tourism sector has focused on promoting solutions to attract tourists, contributing positively to local economic growth.

Since the beginning of 2025, the whole province has organized over 100 vibrant and large-scale cultural, sports and tourism events such as: Ha Long Carnival, Skywave music festival, Miss Sea Vietnam Global, International Yoga Day... which have created strong attraction, contributing to maintaining the position of Quang Ninh as the leading festival destination in the North.

Tourism promotion and advertising activities have been strongly implemented in many key markets such as: Korea, Japan, China, India, France... Notably, the province has welcomed 33 international cruise ships with about 47,000 passengers (an increase of 25% over the same period in 2024).

Conference tourism, seminar tourism, luxury tourism and wedding organization activities are also promoted.

Many businesses have boldly launched new products to increase the "attraction" of tourism in the province. Specifically, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province has coordinated with departments and branches to advise and guide Ha Long Sun Limited Liability Company to organize high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays from July 2025 to January 1, 2026 at Bai Chay beach, Sun Carnival Square, October 30 Square, and Ha Long International Port.

In particular, from September 19-27, 2025, the unit organizes fireworks displays 3 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) starting at 9:30 p.m. at Bai Chay beach, Sun Carnival Square, October 30 Square. Along with that, Vinhome Joint Stock Company organizes low-altitude fireworks displays from 9:00 p.m. on the following days: Southern Liberation Day April 30, 2025, National Day September 2, 2025, New Year's Day January 1, 2026 and every Saturday from April 26, 2025 to January 1, 2026 at Vinhomes Golden Avenue urban area, Mong Cai 1 ward.

Quang Ninh's tourism products are increasingly diverse and have their own unique mark such as: Night cruise street, live show "Finding pearls" at Vung Duc cave; tour to explore pristine islands; hot air balloon experience.

In addition, at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, there are also OCOP booths to serve tourists' shopping needs, traditional art performances...

From now until the end of 2025, many typical events and activities will continue to be organized by the province to attract tourists and people to the locality such as: National U23 Fencing Championship 2025, Quang Ninh Open Sports Dance Tournament, Introducing culinary culture and honoring good chefs of Quang Ninh in 2025, OCOP Fair of the Northeast - Quang Ninh region 2025, Ha Long Bay Heritage International Marathon, Yen Tu Heritage Marathon 2025, Uong Bi Golden Autumn Program 2025, Full Moon Festival and art light performance by Heritage Bay...

In August 2025, the provincial tourism sector focused on researching and developing tourism products associated with Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son, Kiep Bac; products connecting the two World Heritage sites of Ha Long Bay with Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son, Kiep Bac; developing a communication and promotion plan to attract tourists to visit and worship the Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and scenic complex, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

At the same time, the industry organizes events, activities, tourism products, and promotion programs to complete the goal of attracting tourists by 2025./.
