Previously, most customers of the Moc Lan Coffee Shop owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh (Phu Binh block) used cash to pay.
However, when Vo Chi Cong Street opened connecting Quang Phu Ward with Nui Thanh and Thang Binh areas, this business began to have more customers who often used electronic payment methods. The request for customers to transfer a few dozen dong via bank accounts gradually became quite familiar at Hoa Moc Lan Coffee Shop.

Recently, community digital technology groups in Quang Phu ward have stepped up propaganda about the benefits of publicizing QR codes to help customers easily make cashless payments.
At first, Ms. Linh was hesitant, but after researching, she realized that if she did not change, it would affect the "retention" of customers. She decided to provide account information and stick the QR code at the counter as well as some of the most visible locations in the shop.
In many areas far from the center, Quang Phu people still mainly conduct business transactions such as food, drinks, small businesses... using cash.
To change this habit, community digital technology teams go to each store and restaurant to guide businesses to convert payment methods from cash to QR codes. This method is more convenient for customers, and restaurant owners can manage transparently, reducing risks when storing cash.
Along with electronic payments, the groups also support local businesses to promote their products on e-commerce platforms and social networks.
For typical products, OCOP products or startups, the digital technology team directly records introductory videos , posts them on platforms, and then guides the subject on how to do it themselves. Thereby, helping many individual businesses expand their consumption markets.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward, after the administrative merger, the ward established a Steering Committee to develop a plan to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. At the same time, 19 community digital technology groups with 153 members in charge of each block were consolidated.
"We provide guidance on using online public services, support cashless payments, and promote products on e-commerce platforms. In addition, we encourage people to integrate personal documents, health insurance cards, and electronic health records into the VNeID application. The goal is to have 80% of citizens complete data integration by November 2025," said Mr. Hieu.
In the administrative field, 100% of procedures are currently carried out online. Officers and ward leaders work on the electronic system and directly guide people through the operations at the Public Administration Service Center. This helps save time, costs and increases transparency in handling documents.

Digital transformation is also moving strongly in the field of education. Digital classrooms are put into use, equipped with smart educational software and modern equipment, creating an interactive learning environment, encouraging students to be proactive and creative.
Digital libraries in some schools have initially shown effectiveness, helping students access documents and books more quickly, and schools also manage them more closely.
Mr. Hieu informed that the locality strives to achieve an economic growth rate of 11%/year, raising the average income per capita from the current level of 70 million VND to 100 million VND by 2030. Digital transformation is the "key" to realizing that goal.
When every transaction, every procedure, every learning and production activity is associated with technology, efficiency will be increased, job opportunities and consumer markets will expand"
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of Quang Phu Ward People's Committee
Responding to Digital Transformation Day October 10, Quang Phu ward organized a short video creation contest with the theme "Digital transformation - the key to opening a new era".
17 works were compiled and broadcast on the ward's Facebook channels, attracting nearly 100,000 views in just one week.
