At Phu Trach commune, Mr. Ngo Tan Cu acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, dedication and efforts to overcome difficulties of the CPC Hue engineers and workers at the site. At the same time, he praised the engineers and workers who overcame all difficulties in harsh and dangerous weather conditions, determined to soon bring electricity back to serve the people's lives and production.
EVN CPC General Director Ngo Tan Cu also specifically reminded engineers and workers to strictly comply with safety regulations, maintain labor discipline; uphold the sense of responsibility while performing tasks, and ensure absolute safety for the participating forces. At the same time, he affirmed that EVN CPC will continue to mobilize all resources to support Quang Tri province to quickly overcome the consequences of the storm, stabilize life and production.
In Quang Tri, storm No. 10 has seriously affected the power infrastructure. The whole province has 200 fallen power poles; 33 feeders from 110kV stations and 39 medium voltage segments have problems; 2,365/5,762 transformer stations (accounting for 41%) have stopped working, 43.5% of customers in the province have lost power.
Mr. Hoang Hieu Trung, Director of Quang Tri Electricity Company, said that after 3 days of efforts to fix the problem, power supply has been restored to 337,000 customers (nearly 98%) in the area; about 10,000 customers are expected to have power restored by October 3 at the latest.
Along with the local forces, Quang Tri province also received support from 205 engineers and workers from Hue, Da Nang , Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa Power Companies and the Central Power Service Company. The mobilized units must prepare adequate means of transport, equipment and protective gear.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Vinh, an officer of Hue Electricity Company, said that in the process of supporting the restoration of the power grid after storm No. 10 in Quang Tri, the team of engineers and workers encountered many difficulties due to many fallen trees, roads being cut off, and traveling was extremely difficult. However, with a sense of responsibility and determination to restore power to the people as quickly as possible, the electricity sector has strived to overcome all obstacles, working continuously to complete the assigned tasks.
