Donated nearly 45 million VND to support a 13-year-old patient of the Van Kieu ethnic group

Information from Quang Tri General Hospital said that the unit had just successfully treated a 13-year-old patient of the Van Kieu ethnic group (in Thanh commune, Huong Hoa district) who was admitted to the hospital on September 21, seriously injured in a traffic accident.

Specifically, patient HVD (born in 2011) was transferred from the district hospital to the provincial hospital in critical condition, diagnosed with severe shock due to massive blood loss and grade IV liver injury.

Dr. Phan Khanh Viet, Head of the General Surgery Department, said that after more than 1 month of treatment, with the dedicated care of doctors and nurses from the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department and the General Surgery Department, the patient's health has gradually stabilized, he can eat and drink by himself and was discharged from the hospital on October 29.

During the time patient HVD was treated at the Provincial General Hospital, knowing that the family's circumstances were very difficult, being a poor household in the locality, the hospital's Social Work Team called for support from charitable organizations and individuals, receiving nearly 45 million VND to support the child with the cost of treatment at the hospital and care at home after discharge.
