Launching the movement "Train Road - Flower Road" at Km01+180

This morning (December 2), Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) held a ceremony to launch and expand the "Train - Flower Street" movement at Km01+180 - Km01+800 of the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.

With the goal of "Each route, a flower", "Each station, a destination", the "Train - Flower Road" movement of the railway industry has been bringing a unique beauty to Vietnam's railways, as a tourist highlight, attracting domestic and international tourists to localities and the country.

Hanoi capital is the starting point of the national railway lines, so the construction and protection of the urban landscape environment between the railways is very necessary and meaningful. Today's flower planting program aims to realize Plan No. 130 dated April 26, 2024 of the Hanoi People's Committee on organizing the emulation movement to promote the construction of a civilized urban area "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful". When completed, it will create a more beautiful and civilized inner-city road.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of VNR said: "The formation of a flower road along the railway is difficult, maintaining and taking care of it is even more difficult. The railway industry will always stand side by side with the authorities and local organizations across the country in general, Hanoi and Dong Da district in particular, to propagate, mobilize, and call on organizations, unions, and people... to actively respond to the "Train Road - Flower Road" movement."

"I believe that the images and atmosphere of today's ceremony are the driving force to continue spreading and expanding the "Train Street - Flower Street" movement to every district, ward, commune, and street of the capital."

Currently, the "Train Road - Flower Road" movement is being implemented in phase I by VNR, with the goal of planting flowers and ornamental plants to create beautiful landscapes along the national railway line. The movement also aims to mobilize resources to plant trees, afforest, restore and protect nature with the message "For a green Vietnam" being widely deployed in provinces and cities across the country according to Directive No. 45 dated December 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister.

Since the beginning of implementation, VNR has issued documents to 34 provinces/cities with railways passing through on coordinating the implementation of the "Train Road - Flower Road" movement with the hope that every time trees and flowers are planted along the railway and station areas, it will be like a tree planting festival as Uncle Ho instructed .
