Xabi Alonso has brought a completely new defense to the Royal team this season. New signing Dean Huijsen is a regular starter.

Antonio Rudiger is not expected to return until next month, but the former Chelsea star is facing an uncertain future at the Bernabeu.

Rudiger's contract with Real Madrid will expire at the end of this season. Bild sources said that the Madrid team has no intention of inviting the German international to sign a new contract.

Rudiger is currently one of Real's highest-paid players (£166,000/week). Therefore, the club is ready to sell him next summer to cut the salary fund and invest in new players.

Reports of the 33-year-old centre-back's possible departure come just months after he had a heated argument with Jude Bellingham during a training session.

According to El Chiringuito, teammates had to separate the two, after Rudiger's thoughtless tackle. Bellingham was stunned, sparking a fierce brawl.

To date, Antonio Rudiger has played 151 matches for the Royal team. He contributed significantly to Real Madrid's Champions League winning campaign in the 2023/24 season.
