The most common type of kidney cancer is renal cell carcinoma (RCC), which accounts for about 90% of cases.

“Although kidney cancer may not have obvious symptoms in the early stages, it can progress rapidly if left untreated, causing serious health problems,” said Raghunath SK, a urologist in India.

Unbalanced diet

Overweight

Controlling your weight through regular exercise and a healthy diet is key to protecting your kidney health. Being overweight puts stress on your kidneys, increasing your risk of kidney disease and cancer.

Eat a variety of nutritious foods in appropriate portions to maintain a healthy weight and overall health.

Drink less water

Drinking enough water helps your kidneys function properly and flush out toxic waste from your body. You need to drink at least 2 liters to maintain optimal kidney health. Pale yellow urine indicates that your body is well hydrated.

High blood sugar

Diabetics are at increased risk of kidney disease and kidney cancer due to high blood sugar levels. Therefore, strict blood sugar control is extremely important.

Apply a reasonable diet, limit starch, combine with regular exercise to maintain stable blood sugar.

Painkiller abuse

Some over-the-counter pain relievers can be harmful to the kidneys if used in excess. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should be used sparingly and under the guidance of a doctor.
