The Red River Delta Art Photography Festival is a big playground, awaited by photography lovers. At this time, Thai Binh 's photographers are ready for the festival with their most favorite works, the result of their hard work and the hope of achieving high results, making an impression at this year's festival.
Artists from the Photography Association, Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association learn about the reality at Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park.
The destinations are not new, but they must be photographed in a new way, updated with the world 's photography trends, which is the requirement for members of the Photography Association, Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association during the field trip from June 15 to 17. This is a practical trip to prepare for the Red River Delta art photography festival that will take place in Thai Binh this coming August. The deadline for receiving photos to participate in the festival is July 16, so the artists all work hard and create art to find the most impressive works for themselves.
Contributing to the orientation of the shooting style, before the trip, the Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association organized a training course on analyzing the aesthetics in photography and post-production methods of artistic photography with lecturers from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. From the theoretical knowledge acquired, the artists went to Thai Thuy district to create practical works at Quang Lang fishing port, the infinite sea, Dai Duong export garment factory, Lien Ha Thai industrial park, An Co village, aquaculture area, export rattan and bamboo weaving facility... In Dong Hung district, the delegation visited the Cheo mat of Khuoc village, Phong Chau commune and the fish cake production facility of Nguyen village, Nguyen Xa commune.
According to photographer Nguyen Xuan Chinh, Deputy Head of the Creative Committee, Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, having a variety of destinations in the fields of economy , culture, and tourism is a favorable opportunity for artists to innovate in artistic creation. In particular, Thai Binh is known as a peaceful rice land, so during the trip, when visiting large industrial parks with modern factories being deployed, some of which have already come into operation, the artists have the opportunity to introduce the positive transformation process in their homeland and the image of Thai Binh in the future through their artworks.
Artist Nguyen Xuan Chinh shared: During the 3 days of participating in the creative camp, the artists all worked very seriously, always taking advantage of time to go early and return late. Although the destinations on this trip did not create surprises because everyone had traveled a lot, through the creative camp, everyone connected with each other more and shared experiences that had been accumulated over a long time. This is extremely valuable because in the Association, there is diversity in age. While the older artists shared more about their practical creative experiences, the younger artists shared about new perspectives and modern techniques. How can we, on old topics, not shoot in the old way but shoot in a new form of expression, update the world's photography trends to renew the topics with new perspectives so that those works are artistic and have lasting value in the future.
With the theme "Culture of the Red River Delta - a place of convergence and development", the works participating in the festival are in the genre of landscape photography, culture, tangible and intangible heritage... with content reflecting the beauty of nature, country, people in the Red River Delta region; achievements in economy, science and technology, social security, national defense - security, strengthening international exchange and integration; typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; reflecting the beauty of craft villages, scenic spots, the beauty in the cultural and spiritual life of the people in preserving and promoting the national cultural identity.
Artist Nguyen Phuc Anh, Head of the Photography Association, Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association, said: During the training session, we collaborated with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to convey new creative methods, new angles, shooting techniques, and post-processing methods to create the desired photos. In order for the creative field trip to be most effective, we have carefully researched the time and weather to facilitate the artists' creations. With the talents of the artists, we hope to have works of high achievement and new works to serve the province.
The 2023 Red River Delta Art Photography Festival encourages authors to innovate their artistic thinking, expand their topics, themes, and creative range to reflect their aspirations in the process of innovation and socio-economic development. Hopefully, with the enthusiasm of the artists, through the festival, the image of Thai Binh land and people, rich in cultural traditions, on the path of integration and development, will increasingly come closer to domestic and international art lovers.
