According to the program, tomorrow morning (October 20), the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly will open. The session will take place from October 20 and is expected to close on December 11. The working time of the session is expected to be about 40 days.
Before the opening ceremony, leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
Next, the National Assembly delegates will hold a preparatory meeting at 8am. The opening session will take place at 9am the same day and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam for voters and people to follow.
At this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents.
Of these, 49 draft laws and 4 resolutions are related to legislative work; 13 groups of contents are related to socio-economics, state budget, supervision and decision on other important issues.
Specifically, the National Assembly considers and decides on socio-economic issues and the state budget.
Consider and approve the National Assembly's resolution on the results of the thematic supervision of "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect;
The National Assembly reviewed and discussed the summary report on the implementation by members of the Government, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Auditor General of the resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning; and discussed the draft report on the work of the 15th National Assembly term.
The National Assembly reviewed the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of the President, the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Nationality Council, the National Assembly Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit Office.
Consider and pass a resolution on summarizing the work of the 2021-2026 term. In addition, the National Assembly will consider and decide on many other important contents.
Due to the large volume of work, the session did not have a mid-term break like previous sessions and the spirit of working all day off to finish the session completely.
Another new point of the 10th session is that the National Assembly will not organize direct questioning and answering sessions in the hall like previous sessions. Instead, National Assembly deputies will send written questions for the person being questioned to answer.
At the session, the National Assembly will synthesize the report on questioning and answering questions and arrange for the National Assembly to meet in one session on this content.
Also at this session, the National Assembly will carry out personnel work including electing, approving and dismissing a number of senior personnel in the State apparatus. Personnel work is expected to be carried out in the last days of the first working week.
Previously, at the opening press conference of the session, Permanent Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh believed that with careful, methodical, and scientific preparation, as well as close and timely coordination between the agencies of the National Assembly, the Government, and relevant agencies, and the serious and innovative working spirit of the National Assembly deputies, the 10th session - the "summary to pave the way" session - will be a great success.
At the same time, it leaves a deep impression of a dynamic, innovative and active National Assembly term for the people and for the future development of the country.
