Shining will and determination of Uncle Ho's soldiers

Returning to civilian life, Uncle Ho's soldiers continue to work hard, produce, actively participate in social activities, becoming shining examples for future generations.

Veteran, disabled soldier Nguyen Thanh Son (Long Hoa ward, Tay Ninh province) enlisted in 1985, and was discharged in 1989 with the status of a 1/4 disabled soldier. Unfortunately, he lost a leg and an eye, making all activities in Mr. Son's life more difficult. However, keeping in mind Uncle Ho's teaching "Disabled but not useless", Mr. Son still worked hard, raised chickens, ducks, cows and grew longan to develop the family economy .

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son strives to raise livestock and develop the family economy.

In addition, Mr. Son also actively participates in local social charity activities. From the profits from production and livestock farming, every year on holidays and Tet, Mr. Son donates gifts to the locality to take care of the poor and war veterans in difficult circumstances.

Returning to normal life with an unhealthy body, veteran and war invalid Phan Huy Hoan (78 years old, residing in Chau Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province) is still enthusiastically participating in social work in the locality. Participating in many different jobs, Mr. Hoan does all of them well, responsibly, and is loved and admired by local people.

Mr. Hoan actively propagates and mobilizes people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies. In the new rural construction program, he mobilized 25 households, each donating 2m of land to open rural roads. He participated in the mediation of many conflicts among the people, joining hands to maintain security and order in the locality.

Despite his old age and being a severely wounded veteran, Mr. Hoan always promoted the spirit of a revolutionary soldier, lived wholeheartedly for everyone, and actively participated in local patriotic emulation movements. For many years, he was a party member who completed his tasks excellently, receiving many certificates of merit from all levels.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son and Phan Huy Hoan are two of the war veterans and war invalids who are dedicating their strength and intelligence day and night to enrich their homeland. Their contributions to the locality are truly admirable./.
