According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , by 5:00 p.m. today (August 20), universities will enter the benchmark scores and admission results into the common system. By 5:00 p.m. on August 22 at the latest, all schools must announce the first round of benchmark scores.

After knowing the benchmark score, candidates need to immediately carry out the necessary procedures to ensure their rights.

Check the conversion method of equivalent admission scores

Since the beginning of the admission season, many candidates have reported that there is a difference between the scores converted by candidates themselves according to the formula announced by the school and the scores on the school's automatic conversion system.

Look up the list of successful candidates

To be sure of the admission results, candidates need to check the admission list that the schools announce on their own systems or wait for the results to be displayed on the general admission system.

In many cases, candidates who meet the admission criteria are not included in the admission list because they do not meet the additional criteria. This happens when the number of candidates with the same final admission criteria exceeds the admission quota. The school will consider the additional criteria to decide which candidates are admitted.

For example, Hanoi University of Science and Technology considers the secondary criteria as the math score of the 2025 high school graduation exam. The standard score for admission to the Biomedical Engineering major of the school is 24 points, the number of candidates with 24 points or more registering for this major exceeds the quota. At that time, the candidate with 24 points and a higher math score will be admitted.

In a few cases, there are errors in the data entry process that result in the successful candidate not being on the list. If there is any suspicion of irregularities, candidates should contact the school for support.

Confirmation of admission on the common admission system

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, before 5 p.m. on August 30, successful candidates must confirm their admission online on the system. If they do not do so within the deadline, they will be considered as refusing admission.

Confirm enrollment with the school

After confirming admission on the general system, candidates will receive an admission notice from the university. Candidates need to complete the admission procedures according to this notice from the school. This confirmation is different from the confirmation on the general system of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Failure to complete this step may result in denial of admission to some schools with specific requirements.
