
On October 8, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received 500 million VND donated by Nhan Dan Newspaper.
Presenting 500 million VND to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association expressed his wish to share and accompany people affected by natural disasters in difficult times.
"This is the first step in a series of activities of Nhan Dan Newspaper to support flood relief work. We will continue to implement many fundraising programs to support people in natural disaster areas. Typically, on October 17, Nhan Dan Newspaper will premiere the film 'Fatherland in the Heart' with all ticket sales transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the same time, on October 18-19, the funds collected from the program 'Good Morning Vietnam' will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to serve the work of supporting people affected by storms and floods", Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his deep gratitude to the staff, reporters, editors and workers of Nhan Dan Newspaper for joining hands to provide timely and practical support so that people in the provinces have more resources to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
"Sharing hearts, whether material or spiritual, will be a valuable source of strength to help households overcome current difficulties and soon rebuild their lives. This is a testament to the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and the profound humanistic tradition of the Vietnamese people," Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed.
According to Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, the quick and effective relief work not only relies on the strong leadership of the government, but also requires the joint efforts of all classes of people, including the important role of the press and the community. From the first donation that Nhan Dan Newspaper donated today, it is hoped that the following mobilization programs will receive widespread participation from the whole society with the goal of helping people affected by storms and floods to quickly stabilize and rise up after natural disasters.

Contributing more resources to the Party and State to support the people, in recent days, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, many agencies, organizations, individuals and businesses have transferred donations to the receiving account number and directly presented support at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Central Relief Mobilization Committee will continue to allocate resources based on the damage situation in the localities to support the people to stabilize their housing and production as soon as possible.
Mr. Do Van Chien stated: "To publicize and make transparent the support resources, in localities, information about families receiving allocations will be posted at the village headquarters for people to monitor. This will not only help the affected people stabilize their lives soon, but also strengthen people's supervision of the activities of allocating relief resources."
