Many audiences expressed their dissatisfaction because at around 9am - the time when tickets were supposed to start being distributed - the organizers posted a notice to stop distributing tickets due to security reasons.

From early morning until noon on August 20, the Opera House was crowded with people waiting to receive free tickets for the concert “Vietnam in Me.”

Most of the audience were young people. Many said they had been lining up since 3am even though the official ticket distribution time was 9am.

At its busiest, the crowd waiting in front of the Opera House spilled out into the middle of the square, near the usual roundabout. Others lined up along Trang Tien and Le Thanh Tong streets.

However, at around 9 o'clock, the organizers posted a notice at the gate, announcing a temporary suspension of ticket distribution. The chaotic situation, along with the unexpected announcement, made the people in line feel indignant. At the same time, on social networks, there was also a phenomenon of "ticket scalpers" speculating and buying in large quantities. Some people even climbed over the iron fence and got inside.

Two young people from Nam Tu Liem, who lined up from 4am, shared: “We feel it is unfair. The organizers need to have better procedures to protect those who followed the rules and agreed to line up very early.”

In terms of security, the large number of people gathered in front of the Opera House gate also caused traffic congestion. Mr. Ho Long, a resident who regularly travels through this area, expressed his dissatisfaction, saying: “Passing the Opera House this morning was very chaotic. No matter how big or small an event is, it cannot be so disorderly and affect security.”

The concert “Vietnam in Me” took place at 8:00 p.m. on August 26, within the framework of the exhibition “80 Years of Journey of Independence-Freedom-Happiness.” The program caused a stir because it gathered many beloved faces such as Soobin Hoang Son, Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Erik, Anh Tu, Quan AP…

Previously, according to information from the organizers, 3,000 tickets for the program will be distributed over three days from August 20-22 at the Hanoi Opera House. The light-up time is from 9:00 to 11:30 in the morning and from 13:00 to 16:30 in the afternoon. Each person can receive a maximum of 2 tickets, must be a citizen aged 14 or older and must bring their original ID card to receive.
