Regarding the above incident, H. Joint Stock Company ( Da Nang ) said that it had sent a petition to the VNPT - Da Nang Business Center. Accordingly, this company had registered a postpaid subscription for the phone number 091... (Mr. L. - Chairman of the Board of Directors - is the user).

"On August 27, 2025, we registered roaming (international roaming service - PV) for the above subscriber so that the leader could go on a business trip abroad. But from September 6, 2025, this subscriber number could not be contacted. When the company leader returned to Vietnam, it was discovered that the phone number 091... was used by someone else" - Company H. said.

Company H. went to work at the transaction store on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street (Da Nang), and was explained by VinaPhone staff that during the operation, they mistakenly transferred the eSIM of subscriber 091... to another customer for use.

"The above phone number cannot be contacted, leading to work delays and possibly affecting the information security of the subscriber number that the company president is using.

In addition, the phone number used by the company president is linked to a bank account number. An inactive phone number can lead to the loss of assets in the bank account," Company H. stated.

From there, the company requested to take measures to ensure normal operation of the subscriber; requested a written commitment that the subscriber number 091… would not be disclosed and would not affect or cause loss to the bank account.

On the afternoon of September 9, VNPT - Da Nang Business Center (a branch of the Telecommunication Services Corporation) had a meeting with a representative of Company H., and responded in writing to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of this company.

It expressed that the center respectfully acknowledged the feedback from Company H. and sincerely apologized for the incident that affected the communication process and caused inconvenience to customers.

Through inspection, VNPT - Da Nang Business Center determined that the cause of the incident was an objective, unexpected incident that arose during the transaction process of the transaction staff being careless, causing an unexpected error, leading to the above subscriber number being activated with the wrong information.

The Center has coordinated with the functional units of the corporation to restore the right to use the subscriber number 091... for the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Company H..

VNPT commits to ensuring absolute safety and security of subscriber information and related data; affirms that there will be no leakage of personal information, nor will it affect the bank account associated with the subscriber number.

Along with that, we need to strengthen inspection, rectification, and require employees to strictly follow business procedures to prevent similar incidents...

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , the leader of the VNPT - Da Nang Business Center said that the incident of an employee was unexpected and completely unintentional. The incident has been resolved and the unit has also given a satisfactory written response to the customer.
