Summary of the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women and creating jobs for female workers" for the period 2022-2025

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of September 4, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union held a conference to review the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women and creating jobs for female workers" for the period 2022 - 2025 (referred to as Project 01).

Overview of the conference.

After 4 years of implementing Project 01, the Provincial Women's Union has coordinated the implementation and initially achieved many important results. The whole province has 107,500 members, women have access to information, policies, participated in communication conferences, seminars, and forums at the provincial level; more than 2,000 cadres, members, and female cooperative managers have participated in many training courses, forums, and seminars. Thereby, improving management capacity, business skills, market access, and digital transformation application; establishing 5 new cooperatives associated with local strengths; supporting plants, breeds, and techniques, with a total value of over 700 million VND.

The cooperatives initially operated stably, creating regular jobs for hundreds of female workers with incomes ranging from 4 to 7 million VND/month. Activities of connecting markets, building brands, bringing products to participate in OCOP, e-commerce were focused on, contributing to enhancing product value and increasing competitiveness.

At the conference, delegates discussed, objectively and comprehensively evaluated the results achieved and analyzed the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the Project; shared good and creative models and practices in promoting the role of women, creating jobs for female workers, especially models associated with typical products, OCOP, e-commerce. At the same time, proposed solutions to improve the quality of operations of cooperatives managed by women, focusing on improving management capacity; supporting capital, science and technology, digital transformation; expanding production - consumption linkages; building brands and sustainable development.
