Department of Home Affairs organized the 80th anniversary of the State Organization Sector's Traditional Day

On the afternoon of August 23, at Sa Pa ward, the Department of Home Affairs held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the State Organization Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and the Conference of typical advanced models of the Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province, period 2025 - 2030.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Trong, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, emphasized: Promoting the glorious tradition of 80 years of construction and growth, the Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province has made many important contributions to the development of the province. Although the organization and apparatus have had different names over the periods, it has now become the Department of Home Affairs after merging with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; implementing multi-sectoral and multi-field management, the department has always done a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on policies and solutions for building the state apparatus.

The provincial Department of Home Affairs directly participates in solving many specific tasks assigned by the Party and State in the fields of personnel organization, government building and implementing regimes and policies for people with meritorious services.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Provincial Department of Home Affairs has implemented many practical emulation movements, closely following political tasks, administrative reform and public service innovation. The movements have contributed to improving work efficiency, spreading the spirit of responsibility and solidarity among cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs has actively advised the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council to carry out state management of emulation and rewards. The movements were launched specifically, with clear plans, with practical criteria, in accordance with the political tasks of each unit.

Every year, the Department of Home Affairs coordinates with relevant departments and branches to organize communication about the National Target Program on Poverty Reduction in various forms. In the period of 2020 - 2025, Lao Cai province (after the merger) supported 4,330 houses (rebuilding 2,323 houses, repairing 2,007 houses) with a total cost of more than 162.3 billion VND; creating jobs for 208,101 workers, of which 3,389 people were exported.

Incentive policies for meritorious people are implemented promptly, ensuring that 100% of households of meritorious people have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living; social insurance and unemployment insurance of participants are paid correctly, fully and promptly.

Promoting the tradition and experience from 80 years of construction and development, in the coming time, Lao Cai Home Affairs will continue to strive to successfully complete a number of key tasks, such as: continuing to advise on the arrangement of a streamlined and efficient apparatus, in line with the requirements of digital transformation and international integration; improving the quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees, building an honest, professional, creative public service serving the people; promoting administrative reform; strengthening the state management of associations and funds, documents and archives, meeting the requirements in the new situation.

Along with that, advise on solutions to improve the quality of commendation work in the whole province; effectively implement policies for people with meritorious services, "Repaying gratitude" movements; guide and organize the implementation of legal regulations on labor, wages, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene; improve the quality of career orientation and employment counseling, job referrals for workers...

At the meeting, representatives of generations of leaders, cadres and civil servants of the Home Affairs sector through the periods expressed deep gratitude for the contributions of previous generations; at the same time affirmed to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, unity, and strive to fulfill tasks in the new situation.

On this occasion, 3 groups and 9 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and 6 groups and 14 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Director of the Department of Home Affairs for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement of the Home Affairs sector.
