Soc Son: Paying tribute to meritorious people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 28 and 29, Soc Son commune organized working delegations to visit and give gifts to families of meritorious people and veteran revolutionary cadres in the area.

The delegation led by Secretary of the Commune Party Committee Bui Duy Cuong visited Mr. Luong Nhu Phuc (born in 1928, Dong Cham village), a war invalid who was imprisoned by the enemy and later returned to continue working at Tien Duoc Commune Health Station, and Mr. Nguyen Van Cu (born in 1943, Xuan Duc village), a former soldier who participated in the resistance war against the US and is currently a 60-year Party member.

On this occasion, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Soc Son commune, Vuong Nguyen Minh, also visited and presented gifts to veteran revolutionary cadres. The delegation visited Mrs. Le Thi Chinh (born in 1924, Ca village), who used to be a liaison for the revolutionary base, and after 1945 joined the local guerrillas; Mrs. Le Thi Mui (born in 1925, Ca village), a pre-uprising cadre who participated in the Women's Association for National Salvation; and Mr. Nguyen Van Them (born in 1948, Dong Danh village), a veteran who was imprisoned by the enemy but remained loyal and maintained revolutionary spirit.

In the families, the leaders of Soc Son commune expressed their deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations, and at the same time hoped that the families would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition and be shining examples in the community. The commune leaders called on all people to join hands to organize well the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, contributing to educating the revolutionary tradition, fostering patriotism, responsibility to build and protect the Fatherland among the people...
