Exciting 11th traditional bull racing festival at Ro Pagoda in 2025

On August 31, the People's Committee of An Cu commune (An Giang province) coordinated with sponsors to organize the 11th traditional bull racing festival at Ro pagoda in 2025 to celebrate the Sene Dolta festival of the Khmer people.

A large crowd came to the Ro Pagoda bull racing ground to cheer for the pairs of bulls.

The tournament gathered 32 pairs of oxen in An Giang province to participate.

The pairs of bulls competed fiercely with the enthusiastic cheers of the audience.

This year’s bull racing festival attracted 32 pairs of bulls from An Giang province to compete, creating an extremely exciting atmosphere. In each race, 2 pairs of bulls will go through 1 round of shouting and 1 round of releasing.

The further into the round, the more exciting the matches become with fierce pursuit.

With their experience, the “bull riders” controlled the pair of bulls to run fast on the racetrack, creating exciting situations. On the shore, the audience continuously cheered and encouraged the exciting sprint situations at the finish line.

In the final results, the pair of oxen number 21 of Mr. Thai Binh Nguyen (Chi Lang ward) ranked first; the pair of oxen number 15 of Mr. Chau Thi (An Cu commune) ranked second; the pair of oxen number 2 of Mr. Chau Phi Rum ranked third.

Ro Pagoda bull racing festival is a traditional cultural beauty of the Khmer people.
