Here, General Nguyen Tan Cuong highly appreciated the organization of the exhibition area of the Ministry of National Defense, ensuring professionalism and strictness from logistics to welcoming guests, introducing sightseeing areas and security and safety work.

In particular, while inspecting the outdoor exhibition area, General Nguyen Tan Cuong directly talked and introduced to the people about military equipment. Pointing to the Truong Son coastal defense missile complex, the General introduced "this is the first missile that Vietnam has produced".

In terms of similar equipment, Vietnamese missiles are more modern than those produced abroad. The Ministry of Defense has assigned Viettel to produce missiles with superior features, good quality, durability and cheaper price.

The General said that to fire the Red River missile, one must rely on vehicles in the Truong Son missile complex such as the missile loading vehicle, command and control vehicle, launcher vehicle, and radar vehicle.

Continuing to introduce the equipment, General Nguyen Tan Cuong pointed to the XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle. He said that this vehicle was manufactured in Vietnam, equipped with 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine guns, B72 anti-tank missiles... The most important thing is that the soldiers do not have to stick their heads out to shoot but sit inside the vehicle and control it, firing automatically from inside the vehicle.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong said that in the past we had to buy infantry fighting vehicles, but now the Vietnamese defense industry can produce them itself.

How modern are the Truong Son missile complex and XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle?

According to the staff at the exhibition area, the XCB-01 is produced by the General Department of Defense Industry. The vehicle has a crew of 3 people: 1 driver, 1 vehicle commander and 1 gunner to control the vehicle's firepower.

In addition, the vehicle can carry 8 infantry soldiers with full equipment. The infantry soldiers, when carried on the vehicle, can join the vehicle's crew to increase firepower to suppress the enemy through the systems provided to the infantry soldiers.

The advantages of this vehicle line are its high mobility, great speed, and ability to fight on all terrains from plains, mountains, and underwater. During combat, the vehicle can quickly carry infantry deep into the battlefield and take over the battlefield.

In case of encirclement, the vehicle will quickly respond, safely withdraw the infantry to the rear and use a more suitable combat plan.

XCB-01 has a system with 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine guns, B72 anti-tank missiles, 72mm smoothbore cannon, next to the smoothbore cannon there is also a machine gun. In addition, the vehicle also has an active defense system, anti-laser irradiation.

When the vehicle is irradiated by laser, it will warn. When attacked by the enemy, smoke bullets will be fired to obscure the enemy's vision and the thermal wall systems in the vehicle will deflect the ballistic system, ensuring the vehicle's safety during the march.

Meanwhile, the Truong Son surface-to-sea missile system (VCS-01, short for Vietnam Coastal Defense Missile System - Vietnam coastal defense missile system - 01) was researched and produced by Viettel.

According to the introduction of the staff at the exhibition area, the Truong Son missile complex includes: VTRV-01 missile loading vehicle, VCPV-01 command and control vehicle, VLV-01 launcher vehicle, VTAR-1 target warning and indication radar vehicle and Song Hong anti-ship missile.

The complex is responsible for observing the sea surface, collecting and processing information, selecting targets to destroy and carrying out missile strikes in modern combat conditions. This is one of the core components of the coastal defense system that can launch powerful missile strikes, destroying enemy targets, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.

The highlight of this missile complex is the Red River anti-ship missile (VSM-01A, VSM stands for Vietnamese Cruise Missile).

This coastal defense missile has a diameter of 315 mm, a length of no more than 5 m, and a mass of less than 600 kg. The missile has a subsonic flight speed (nearly equal to the speed of sound), and a range of up to 80 km.

The missile is equipped with an advanced guidance system, has high anti-jamming ability, helping to increase accuracy. The missile's targets are mainly surface ships.
