Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation in the new period

GD&TĐ - On August 27, in Hanoi, the Inspection Delegation of the Central Steering Committee 35 had an inspection and working session with the Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Comrade Nguyen Van Phuc, member of the Party Standing Committee, Deputy Minister of Education and Training chaired the meeting.

Implementing the work plan, the Central Steering Committee on protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints (Steering Committee 35) worked with Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training. Before that, the delegation directly inspected the records, technical infrastructure, communication channels on the internet, social networks and related contents.

At the meeting, comrade Vu Trong Ha - Chief of Office of the Central Steering Committee 35 presented a summary report of the inspection results. Accordingly, in recent years, the Steering Committee 35 of the Ministry of Education and Training has advised the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training to lead and direct the good implementation of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW and has many advantages and outstanding points.

The Steering Committee has regularly and closely coordinated with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training to direct subordinate Party committees at all levels to fight against political and ideological degradation, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", protect internal political security, and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

The Ministry of Education and Training strictly implements the Party's directives and resolutions, especially on fighting, preventing, and repelling degradation in political ideology, lifestyle ethics, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "internal self-evolution"; and effectively implements Directive No. 05-CT/TW.

Strengthen the management and education of cadres and party members to strictly comply with the discipline of speaking and protecting Party and State secrets, strictly prohibit the disclosure of Party and State secrets, and the spread of false information; handle organizations and individuals who violate the provisions of fake news, false information, and harmful information on the Internet and social networks within the management scope of agencies and units.

Closely coordinate with the Central Propaganda Department to direct propaganda and education work to raise awareness of the cultural traditions and revolutionary achievements of the Party and the nation; guide the enhancement of positive information, effectively handle bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks to promptly handle information, coordinate the organization of forces to synchronously and uniformly deploy the dissemination of official and positive information on cyberspace; implement measures to combat and refute bad and toxic information.

Directing the implementation and inspection of the mass teaching of the curriculum and textbooks of the subjects Marxism-Leninism Philosophy, Marxism-Leninism Political Economy, Scientific Socialism, Ho Chi Minh Thought and History of the Communist Party of Vietnam for students majoring and non-majoring in political theory training in higher education institutions according to Conclusion No. 94-KL/TW.

Cognitive unity

At the working session, delegates in the inspection delegation and representatives of functional units of the Ministry of Education and Training unanimously agreed that the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is extremely important in order to maintain the Party's leadership role, unify the will and awareness of the entire Party and people to implement the country's development policies and goals.

In the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, the field of education and training plays an important role. Especially in the context of digital transformation, the development of science and technology today poses new challenges and requirements. Therefore, the role and responsibility of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training in carrying out this task is extremely important.

According to regulations, the inspection team has seriously and fully implemented the requirements, purposes, methods, contents and progress as prescribed. This is also a valuable opportunity for the Central Steering Committee 35 to discuss with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, leaders of functional Departments and Offices to unify perceptions, point out shortcomings and inadequacies to overcome in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc clarified some of the achievements, difficulties and limitations in implementing the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints. At the same time, he requested the inspection team to report to the competent authority to consider and resolve the proposals and recommendations of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training mentioned in the report.

Concluding the working session, comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in recent times.

The working session fully and substantially assessed the results of the organization and implementation in the past time. This was also an opportunity to discuss and understand more deeply the results achieved, point out the limitations and shortcomings, and unify the perception and requirements for this work in the coming time. The working group will soon complete the report and advise on the issuance of conclusions to send to the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for implementation.
