Many creative ways
While the movie “Red Rain” became a phenomenon, creating a strong ripple effect in the community, especially among the youth, the Board of Directors of Man Duc Primary and Secondary School ( Phu Tho province ) organized for nearly 140 teachers and students of grades 8 and 9 to go see the movie “Red Rain” at the cinema.
Before the movie, the students were informed about the content, value and meaning of the movie. Notably, right in the screening room, before watching the movie “Red Rain”, the teachers and students of the school organized the singing of the National Anthem in a solemn and serious atmosphere.
With careful and thoughtful organization, this is truly an extracurricular activity with high educational value. After watching the movie, all students participated in writing about their thoughts and feelings about the movie “Red Rain”.
Bui Binh Minh, a 9B student at Man Duc Primary and Secondary School, emotionally said: “Our generation is lucky to be born and raised in peace. Through the film with the battles during 81 days and nights to protect Quang Tri citadel, we understand more about the bravery and heroic spirit of previous generations to have a peaceful life like today. Many details of the film made me cry. I promise to try harder in studying and training to be worthy of the sacrifice of our ancestors.”

Also aiming at innovating traditional education for students, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2025), Bac Ha Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School (Lao Cai province) organized many meaningful activities.
The school launched classes to build exhibition booths about the August Revolution and National Day. September 2nd; display of the historical traditions of the homeland and the cultural beauty of the ethnic groups in the area;... Thereby, helping the collective of cadres, teachers and students understand more deeply the meaning and great value of the August Revolution in 1945, the glorious cultural and historical traditions of the nation, of the heroic homeland of Lao Cai.
“My friends and I really like the extracurricular activities on traditional education organized by the school. With rich and lively forms, traditional education is no longer dry and forced, but really engaging, attracting us to participate to show our awareness and responsibility for the traditions of our nation and country,” Giang Hoai Phuong, a 9B student at Bac Ha Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities, shared.
Previously, with the aim of helping students have the opportunity to learn about historical traditions, Hanoi Primary and Secondary School (Hanoi city) organized a field trip to the Vietnam Military History Museum.
Students learned about the history of the nation’s struggle to build and defend the country; the formation and development process, the heroic feats and glorious traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army. Along with visiting the artifacts, students also heard touching stories about the brave fighting spirit of previous generations.
Visiting the Vietnam Military History Museum is not only an opportunity for students to expand their historical knowledge but also helps each student increase their national pride and appreciate the peaceful and happy life they have. "The artifacts and historical stories heard at the Museum help me better understand the sacrifices of our ancestors so that we can have the life we have today. I feel very proud and will continue to try to study and practice to become a useful citizen for the country," Mai Linh, an 8A student at Hanoi Primary and Secondary School, emotionally said.
Multiplying patriotism in the young generation
Implementing the Party's viewpoint on comprehensive education for the young generation, in recent times, many educational institutions have proactively innovated traditional education work on the basis of closely following reality and being suitable to the psychology of students. Traditional education activities are organized in a diversified and "soft" direction, both cultivating awareness and touching the "hearts" of students. From there, gradually multiplying the spirit of patriotism and national pride in the young generation.
It is known that Man Duc Primary and Secondary School, Bac Ha Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities, and Hanoi Primary and Secondary School are just three of many educational institutions that have proactively innovated traditional education.
In addition to extracurricular activities, schools also organize activities such as visiting historical sites to review traditions; online history competitions; flag talks; Saturday night activities (with boarding students); visiting, giving gifts, and helping families of war invalids, martyrs, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers;...

In particular, on major holidays such as the Party's founding anniversary on February 3, the Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification Day on April 30, National Day on September 2, etc., many educational institutions also invite historical witnesses to tell traditional stories; organize the contest "I love Vietnam"; conduct the talk show "April Emotions";...
Traditional education activities are also carried out synchronously and creatively on social platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok, etc. associated with the role of the Youth Union in schools. From there, helping traditional education work to have both "life breath" and be suitable for the psychology of young people.
The school always pays attention to and regularly implements traditional education for students through learning activities in class and extracurricular activities. Thereby, it contributes to forming good personality for students and creating motivation for them to strive to study better.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Thom, Principal of Man Duc Primary and Secondary School, said: “Traditional education for students is always of interest to the school and is regularly carried out through classroom learning activities and extracurricular activities. Thereby, it contributes to forming good personalities for students and creating motivation for them to strive to study better.”
In fact, the innovation of traditional education in schools has helped students understand more deeply the heroic traditions of the nation. This is not only the basis for fostering love for the homeland and country in students, but also helps them improve their ability to "resist" bad and toxic information that distorts history. Understanding and being proud of the traditions of the nation and the Party, the young generation will love the Fatherland more and appreciate what they have; at the same time, actively cultivate and study to contribute to building a strong and prosperous homeland and country.
