
At Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Tran Van Tuan; Member of the National Assembly 's Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Thai Quynh Mai Dung; and representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs. On the Hungarian side, there were Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Tibor Baloghdi and Hungarian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Lehocz Gabor.
On the same day, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh received the Chairman of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo. At the meeting, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council expressed his pleasure to welcome the Chairman of the Hungarian National Assembly to visit Vietnam and the city at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council said that Ho Chi Minh City has a friendly cooperative relationship with the Hungarian capital Budapest. In the coming time, the city hopes that more and more Hungarian enterprises will come to invest, develop production and business; and the friendly, cooperative and people-to-people diplomatic relations between the city and Hungarian localities will be further strengthened.
The President of the Hungarian National Assembly thanked the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City for their warm welcome and expressed his pleasure in visiting and witnessing the remarkable development of Vietnam today. The President of the Hungarian National Assembly said that Hungary always encourages businesses to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular; expressed his hope that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for Hungarian businesses to cooperate and do business; and strengthen friendly cooperation with Hungarian localities.
Previously, the Chairman of the Hungarian National Assembly visited the stupa commemorating Hungarian scholar and Orientalist Sandor Korosi Csoma in Vung Tau ward.
