Accordingly, the general objective of the plan is to assess the current status of health care tourism development in Thua Thien Hue province, thereby proposing solutions to develop tourism destinations associated with health care in the province in the coming time. Diversify local health care tourism products, create a breakthrough in health care tourism development, build tourism into a spearhead economic sector, contribute to building Thua Thien Hue worthy of being one of the large and unique tourism and medical centers of the country and the region in health care tourism.

In addition, synchronously implement solutions on policy mechanisms, infrastructure investment, facilities for developing health care tourism , support and encourage businesses when investing in developing health care services and products associated with local tourism development. Develop and diversify health care products and services combined with training and development of human resources serving at resorts and health care facilities; shape models of health care tourism products in the province to put into use and continue to invest in completion in the coming time.

The specific objective will be to systematize the theoretical and practical basis of health care tourism. Evaluate the potential and analyze the current status of exploitation and development of health care tourism at locations associated with health care tourism in Thua Thien Hue province. Survey and evaluate the needs of domestic and international tourists as a basis for building health care tourism products to meet the needs of tourists.

Build some highlight models of health care tourism products in the province to put into use and continue to invest in and complete in the coming time. Design and digitize some health care tourism programs using virtual reality technology, simulating health care tourism products in Thua Thien Hue.

Propose groups of solutions to enhance the exploitation and development of health care tourism in Thua Thien Hue province in the coming time. Implement the tasks of the list of priority projects and activities to support investment in developing products and infrastructure for health care tourism destinations in Thua Thien Hue province in the period of 2024 - 2030. Maximize the participation of local authorities, people and communities; managed by the community, organized for exploitation, benefiting from and receiving professional support from the consulting unit.

To complete the above objectives, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province assigned relevant units to carry out key tasks such as: Developing development policies to attract investment in developing CSSK tourism projects/models; Investing in infrastructure to develop CSSK tourism destinations; Building and developing CSSK tourism products and services; Promoting training and education; Strengthening the promotion of CSSK tourism.
