Trains passing through Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan are continuously stoned.

(Dan Tri) - Within a month, trains passing through the two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan were repeatedly stoned and damaged by bad guys.

On February 17, the leader of Phu Khanh Railway Exploitation Branch said that within the past month, there have been 5 incidents of stone throwing at trains when the trains passed through Khanh Hoa province (3 incidents) and Ninh Thuan province (2 incidents).

The rock throwing incidents usually occur in the late afternoon or at night. Currently, these incidents only cause property damage, and have not affected the lives of workers or passengers.

The latest incident occurred at 4:50 p.m. on February 16, when train SE9 was moving north-south to Gia - Hoa Huynh station (Khanh Hoa province), and was hit by rocks thrown by some people, breaking the corridor windows.

The leader of Phu Khanh Railway Exploitation Branch said that all 5 cases have been reported to local police to coordinate the investigation to find the culprit.

Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province has requested the provincial police to direct local police to coordinate with authorities where the railway passes through to urgently investigate, detect violations and take strict measures.

People's Committees of districts, towns and cities with railways passing through are also required to strengthen propaganda and raise people's awareness of compliance with laws on railway traffic safety and order.
