At the meeting, the two sides discussed the socio -economic development situation of the province, orientations for attracting foreign investment, especially support and incentive policies for foreign-invested enterprises in general and Japanese enterprises in particular.

Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, introduced the potential and advantages of the locality in developing industry, high-tech agriculture , renewable energy and logistics. The province affirmed its commitment to always accompany investors, creating an open, transparent and favorable investment environment so that foreign enterprises can operate with peace of mind in the long term.
Mr. OKABE Mitsutoshi, Chief Representative of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his impression of Tay Ninh's dynamism and development potential; at the same time, he wished to strengthen connections and support Japanese enterprises to learn and invest in areas that are suitable for the province's development orientation. The two sides agreed to continue to maintain information exchange and promote cooperation activities to promote trade and investment in the coming time.
At the meeting, Mr. Huynh Van Son also asked JETRO to support in arranging a meeting with JETRO leaders in Tokyo, and invited JETRO and its members to attend the Tay Ninh Investment Promotion Conference held at the Vietnamese Embassy in Tokyo on November 19.
Currently, Japan is the 4th country among more than 40 countries and territories investing in Tay Ninh, with 176 projects, total registered capital of more than 1.26 billion USD. Japanese investment projects mainly focus on the fields of manufacturing artificial wood panels and wood products, mechanical engineering - machine manufacturing, electronic components, agricultural and aquatic product processing, garment, animal feed and food.
Regarding labor cooperation, from 2020 to August 2025, Tay Ninh sent 6,343 workers to work abroad, of which Japan accounted for 68.4% with 4,337 workers. Tay Ninh workers in Japan mainly work in the fields of industry (34%), food processing (19%), mechanics (11%), construction (10%), health care (4%), agriculture (6%) and other industries (16%).
