Relatives have come to receive the body of the victim that drifted to Con Co island.

This morning, June 15, information from Con Co Border Guard Station said that relatives have come to receive the body of the victim who drifted to Con Co Island to bring it back to his hometown for burial.

Accordingly, this morning, the victim's relatives, including his daughter, brother, and sister, went to Con Co island district to confirm that the body that drifted to the island at 1:45 p.m. on June 14 was indeed their relative.

Accordingly, the victim was identified as Ms. Truong Thi Ngan, born in 1964 in Nhan Hai village, Nhan Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province.

According to relatives, on June 13, the victim, her husband, and son went to collect fishing nets along the Dinh River, which flows through Nhan Trach Commune. After collecting the nets, the son returned home first. However, at around 5 a.m., when his parents did not return, the son went back to look for them.

At the fishing net storage area, the son discovered his parents' bamboo boat drifting, but no one was on board, so he notified the local authorities and the authorities organized a search.

Immediately after the family confirmed that the victim was indeed a relative, the government, organizations, agencies, units and people on Con Co island organized condolences and supported the family.
