Thanh Hoa is about to have a Avenue of Light on the North bank of the Ma River.

The 3km-long Avenue of Light applies advanced lighting projection technologies such as 3D mapping, interactive lasers, dynamic LEDs... vividly recreating images of Dong Son cultural symbols such as the sun, Lac birds, and bronze drums. The thousand-year-old cultural heritage - the pride of Thanh land - is "retold" through the language of light and technology, creating an artistic space imbued with identity, where indigenous culture blends into modern life. The Avenue of Light is a multi-sensory journey of experience remembering one's roots, enjoying the pinnacle of art.

Large-scale Avenue of Light appears for the first time in Thanh Hoa

Right at the entrance, the image of the Lac Bird opening its eyes to welcome the dawn takes visitors into another world – where the past and the future intersect through the language of light. The emotional journey continues with three magical light lines: starting with the warm yellow of dawn, continuing with the rainbow river of light, and ending in a magical purple-blue space, where thousands of LED lights draw a sparkling Milky Way.

When night falls, the Avenue becomes a spectacular light stage with 3D projection technology, laser effects and spotlights. The image of the Fairy Bird spreading its wings appears vividly against the sky, like a myth told in light.

The 3km-long Avenue of Light uses modern projection technology, brightly illuminating the northern bank of the Ma River.

According to the design, 10 art clusters are arranged along the Avenue according to 4 themes: "Golden stream of sunlight", "Light tower", "Dreamy bamboo stream" and "Giant fairy bird" - creating a continuous flow of art. 14 light gates of Dong Son drums and Lac birds are arranged along the Avenue using hologram technology with vivid moving images of Lac birds, the drum surface glowing brightly, creating an attractive visual effect. In addition, four light bridges "Fairy birds weaving light" with a moving lighting system recreating the Fairy bird and rainbow create a landscape highlight between the two commercial streets.

Next to the Avenue of Light, Thanh Hoa will soon have a Light Park. Here, people and tourists can experience the interactive art program "Upstream to find the light" following the "Lost Bird Picking the Sun", collecting lost remnants of light, overcoming the challenge of "The Mystery of the Bronze Drum" and sublimating emotions at the "Light Essence Tower".

Light Park with unique art performances and light interactions promises to become an attractive destination for visitors to Thanh Hoa.

A representative of the provincial leader said: "When completed, the City of Light will not only light up the space, but also light up the pride of Thanh's cultural heritage."

Expectations for Thanh Hoa tourism to take off

Not only an entertainment destination, the Avenue of Light and the Park of Light are expected to create a modern appearance and develop cultural tourism for Thanh in the near future.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - resident of Nguyet Vien ward shared, "When I heard that the Avenue of Light would be built right in the locality, my family was very excited. Thanh Hoa lacks night entertainment spots, so the well-invested project will certainly attract many people to visit and experience, bringing many practical benefits to residents."

Ms. Le Thi Thu - a food vendor near the North Ma River Beltway - hopes the project will bring about a clear change: "If there is a light avenue, many people will come to take photos, check in, have fun, buy food, and we will also have more income. Not only city residents but also tourists will definitely come."

While localities in the North Central region have yet to form a prominent night entertainment model, the Avenue of Lights and the Park of Lights in Thanh Hoa promises to become an attractive new destination comparable to successful models in Asia such as Gardens by the Bay (Singapore) or Cheonggyecheon Stream (Korea) when localized with the unique Dong Son cultural spirit.
