Speaking at the congress, Standing Committee member, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Tong Phuoc Truong requested the Thanh My Tay Commune Party Committee to continue to promote Party building and rectification and the political system; have solutions to prevent, suppress, and resolutely fight against signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.
On the basis of correct and complete awareness of position, role, potential and opportunities, Thanh My Tay Commune Party Committee needs to identify breakthrough tasks for local development in the overall new development space of the province and region.
Focus on preserving and promoting cultural traditions and national identity, especially focusing on planning to expand and upgrade the national historical relic site of Quan Co Tran Van Thanh Temple to become the center of service and tourism development, a symbol of patriotism associated with traditional education for generations.
Maintain national defense, security and foreign affairs; strengthen prevention, combat and suppression of all types of crimes and social evils; strive to build a drug-free society by 2030.
In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Thanh My Tay Commune Party Committee identified breakthroughs: Prioritizing the development of high-quality human resources; enhancing the application of information technology to serve the management process, meeting the requirements of local digital transformation development; synchronously completing infrastructure, especially traffic infrastructure; developing agricultural economy, strongly shifting the structure of agricultural production, applying high technology associated with regional linkages and product consumption.
The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee to appoint 28 comrades to join the Commune Party Executive Committee, with 11 comrades in the Standing Committee. Comrade Pham Hong Phuoc was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh My Tay Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
