On July 31, at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the opening ceremony of trading shares of BCG Energy Joint Stock Company took place. 730 million shares of BGE code were officially listed on UPCoM with a reference price of VND 15,600/share, the fluctuation range in the first trading session was +/- 40%.
Renewable energy growth is impressive
The number of BGE securities registered for trading is 730 million shares, equivalent to a capitalization of VND 11,388 billion . Listing on the UPCoM exchange will help BCG Energy more easily mobilize capital for potential energy projects that are about to be implemented.
Mr. Ng Wee Siong Leonard - Chairman of the Board of Directors of BCG Energy - said this is an important milestone in BCG's journey, symbolizing not only the development but also the company's commitment to contributing to shaping the future of the renewable energy market in Vietnam.
BCG Energy is a key member in the energy sector of Bamboo Capital Group (stock code: BCG).
In recent years, BCG Energy has continuously recorded impressive business growth results.
In 2021, the company achieved revenue of 760 billion VND, in 2022 revenue grew strongly by 40% to 1,064 billion VND.
In 2023, BCG Energy's net revenue increased by 5.8%, reaching more than VND 1,125 billion.
In the first 6 months of 2024, BCG Energy's consolidated net revenue recorded VND 698.8 billion, up 22% over the same period. Consolidated profit after tax reached VND 290.7 billion, a sharp increase of 33 times compared to the first half of 2023.
BCG Energy's renewable energy segment has become an important pillar, bringing in the largest source of revenue for Bamboo Capital Group today.
BCG Energy currently owns a portfolio of up to nearly 1GW approved under Power Master Plan VIII with a vision for implementation to 2030.
Notably, a series of large-scale wind power projects, including Dong Thanh 1 (80MW), Dong Thanh 2 (120MW) in Tra Vinh province, Khai Long 1 (100MW) in Ca Mau will be deployed by BCG Energy in the coming time.
In addition, BCG Energy has also just entered the waste-to-energy sector when it started construction of the Tam Sinh Nghia waste-to-energy plant in Cu Chi (HCMC) in July 2024. BCG Energy said it will soon implement waste-to-energy plant projects in Long An and Kien Giang.
Expanding operations into the waste-to-energy sector is expected to expand BCG Energy's revenue scale and contribute to the clean energy transition in Vietnam.
