Press release on the 41st Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee

On the afternoon of January 3, the Office of the National Assembly informed about the program of the 41st Session (January 2025) of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

As planned, the 41st session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place over 1.5 days, on January 6 and the morning of January 7, 2025, at the Tan Trao meeting room, National Assembly House. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver the opening speech and, together with the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, will take turns presiding over the content of the session.

At this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and give opinions on the following contents:

1. On law-making work

The National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the following contents: (1) Explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry; (2) Explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Employment (amended); (3) Explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising; (4) Explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations.

In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and approve: (1) Joint Resolution detailing the organization of meetings with voters between National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies; (2) Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee regulating the implementation of democracy within the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and agencies of People's Councils at all levels (detailing Clause 2, Article 84 of the Law on Implementation of Democracy at Grassroots Level).

2. On supervision work

The National Assembly Standing Committee will: (1) Review the National Assembly's Report on People's Aspirations in December 2024; (2) Give opinions on the National Assembly's thematic supervision outline on "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect".

3. On deciding important issues

The National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on preparations for the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.
