Man Utd just suffered another disastrous defeat in the new season, when they were defeated 3-0 by Man City in the Manchester derby in round 4 of the Premier League last weekend.
After just 5 matches in all competitions, coach Ruben Amorim's team has lost 3 matches, won only 1 match and drawn 1 match. According to Opta statistics, the Portuguese strategist has the worst winning rate among Man Utd coaches who have led 25 matches or more in the past 80 years, since 1945.

Accordingly, coach Amorim only won 36.2% of the matches he led the Old Trafford team (17 wins out of 47 matches in all competitions).
Amorim's predecessor Erik Ten Hag had a win rate of 54.7%, while David Moyes, who was sacked in his first season in charge, achieved a win rate of 52.9%. In particular, legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson has the highest win rate, up to 59.7%.
Notably, even coach Wilf McGuinness, who was fired after only one season leading Man Utd (1969-1970 season) still had a higher winning rate than Amorim, with 36.3%, equivalent to 33 wins out of 99 matches leading the "Red Devils".

Since arriving at Old Trafford last November, Man Utd under Amorim have only won 31 points from 31 Premier League games, of which only 8 were wins (lost 16 and drawn 7). This is the same number of points as Tottenham but the goal difference is worse at -13 compared to -4.
Things look to have changed this season as well, with Man Utd having picked up just four points from their opening four Premier League games - their worst start to a season since 1992-93.
It is worth mentioning that the Portuguese strategist is still steadfast with his 3-center-back tactical formation, when he affirmed that he would accept being fired rather than change his 3-4-3 formation.
Speaking after the loss to Man City, coach Amorim said: "This is not the achievement we should have at Man Utd. I accept that but I will not change.
When I want to change my philosophy, I will change it, but if not, they just change the coach. We will talk about it in every loss. I played my way until I wanted to change it."
