LG spreads reading culture to children in mountainous areas

(Dan Tri) - The "Knowledge Nurturing" library within the framework of the LG Ambassador Challenge 2025 program has just been inaugurated, providing a modern learning and playing space, inspiring reading to children in the highlands.

Spacious library - the door to knowledge

In schools in the highlands, despite the lack of conditions, the desire to learn of the children here is always strong. At Loi Bac Primary School, Loi Bac Commune, Lang Son Province, where 100% of the students are children of ethnic minorities in the highlands, the difficult economic conditions limit the children's ability to read and expand their knowledge. For many years, the school only had a few old bookshelves, with a small number of books.

With the desire to bring students a more complete and modern learning space, within the framework of the LG 2025 Community Ambassador program, LG has accompanied the Youth Hope Club, Reigate Grammar School Vietnam to build a new library for teachers and students here.

The newly built and put into use “Knowledge Incubation” library creates a spacious, airy reading space of 55.8 square meters for students. Inside, good books and stories are also donated by LG, neatly arranged, opening up a rich treasure trove of knowledge.

Along with that, LG also gave teachers and students of the school a smart LG TV, with the desire to bring more visual and vivid learning hours, helping students not only read but also see, listen, and experience many different forms of learning.

Mr. Song Ikhwan, General Director of Sales and Marketing, LG Electronics Vietnam shared: “In 30 years of establishment and development in Vietnam, LG has actively implemented many meaningful activities to accompany the community. In particular, education is the area that we are most interested in. With the 'Knowledge Nurturing' Library, we hope to motivate children to explore knowledge and nurture their dreams of reaching a brighter future.”

Journey of connecting and spreading community values

Within the framework of LG Ambassador Challenge 2025 - an annual community-oriented program implemented by LG in collaboration with international non-governmental organizations, the "Knowledge Incubation" project is an initiative of members of the Youth Hope Club - RGSV School. In which, Nguyen Quang Minh, Doan Luong Anh, Dinh Thi Hien Chau and Nguyen Bao Lam play a key role in developing ideas, calling for funding and directly implementing.

At the library inauguration event, young people expressed their joy and pride when this meaningful project was selected by LG as one of three projects supported within the framework of the LG Ambassador Challenge 2025 program. In the coming time, the library will continue to be used by club members to organize online classes for students at Loi Bac Primary School.

“The project's goal is not only to provide many books, but also to spread reading culture and inspire children's passion for learning, helping them discover the vast world through each page of a book,” Nguyen Quang Minh, Chairman of the Club, added.

For students in the mountainous region of Lang Son, the new library is not only a place to read books but also a meaningful learning space, providing them with more opportunities to develop. Each page they turn will arouse their curiosity, nurture their aspirations, and motivate them to step out of their own limits.

Ms. Tran Thi Mai, Principal of the school shared: “Thanks to the care, companionship and sponsorship of LG, along with the support from the project implementation unit - Youth Hope Club, RGSV International School, the dream of a spacious library has become a reality. This is not only a material gift but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, opening the door to knowledge, helping our students have more opportunities to study, explore and nurture their dreams for the future”.

Previously, LG has accompanied the project "Nurturing green seeds - Sowing sweet honey" at Ben En National Park (Thanh Hoa), contributing to protecting biodiversity and raising environmental awareness for the local community. In the coming time, LG said it will continue to accompany the project to support upgrading the football field for Bao Dai Primary School, Bao Dai Commune, Bac Ninh Province, creating more useful and safe playgrounds for children.
