Road management units are focusing on clearing landslides on Highway 47.
By 4:00 p.m. on August 29, vehicles had reached the center of Bat Mot Commune People's Committee and were no longer separated.
After the National Highway 47 was cleared, the unit continued to mobilize human resources and machinery to repair the damage so that people and vehicles could safely travel. At the same time, it created favorable conditions for mobile forces to go to Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes to support and help people and localities overcome the consequences of storm No. 5.
Previously, prolonged heavy rains caused National Highway 47, the vital route connecting the lowlands with the border commune of Bat Mot, to be cut off by serious landslides in many locations. The section from Yen Nhan commune to Bat Mot, more than 15km long, had dozens of deep flooding spots, thick mud, and traffic was paralyzed. On the night of August 28, the road management unit mobilized human resources and vehicles to make efforts to clear the road.
