The first year of iPhone sales at the same time as many major markets around the world , retail systems recorded unexpected sales.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue, representative of Viettel Store, informed that the opening sale event took place simultaneously at nearly 500 supermarkets nationwide. Viettel Store's leadership directly handed over iPhone 17 and iPhone Air to customers at 6 major return points in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nghe An, Phu Tho and Tay Ninh.

Previously, Viettel Store also announced that there were nearly 70,000 deposits to buy the latest generation iPhone.

Since the night of September 18, many people have been lining up to be among the first in the world to own the iPhone 17 Pro Max - the most advanced version with a price starting at 38 million VND (about 1,500 USD). On the online Apple Store, the 256 GB Pro Max version "sold out" in less than 10 minutes after going on sale.

TopZone system also confirmed that it sold more than 100,000 iPhone 17s in the first sale.

The Mobile World system recorded nearly 27,000 deposits, of which 65% chose the iPhone 17 Pro Max - with the 256 GB version in cosmic orange accounting for 60% of them. The iPhone 17 Pro accounted for 20%, the iPhone 17 accounted for 11% with the most popular color being lavender purple, the iPhone Air accounted for 4% - the cloud white color led sales.

Minh Tuan Mobile representative informed that there were 18,000 orders for iPhone 17, about 300 devices were delivered on the opening day alone. And Shopdunk delivered about 3,000 devices to customers on the first day of opening.

Meanwhile, CellphoneS has not announced specific sales figures but also said it has organized 10 large opening events in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Da Nang and many other provinces and cities.

The simultaneous launch of the iPhone 17 with the international launch confirms the attractiveness of the Vietnamese market. Vietnamese consumers are said to be willing to spend large sums of money to own top technology products, also to show "class" and "style".

According to incomplete statistics from retail systems, there have been about 200,000 orders for iPhone 17 so far.

Notably, while Vietnam's average income per capita is currently around 4,700 USD/year (equivalent to about 124 million VND), hundreds of thousands of people are still willing to spend 1,000 - 1,500 USD to own the latest generation of iPhone.

Mr. Viet Anh, manager of a technology retail store in Ho Chi Minh City, said that the current price of the iPhone is too high compared to the average income per capita in Vietnam, but the appeal of this technology product is still strong enough that many people are willing to line up all night to own it.
