Prime Minister: Timely reward special achievements, create new momentum on important national events

On the afternoon of August 8, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council for the 2021-2026 term (Council) chaired the 13th meeting to evaluate emulation movements, reward work and consider proposals from ministries, branches and localities on awarding noble titles to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

Also attending were comrades: Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Vice Chairman of the Council; Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice Chairman of the Council; Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Council; President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, Vice Chairman of the Council; leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies who are members of the Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that 2025 is an important year, with many major national holidays, including the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition day, the 80th anniversary of the founding of central ministries and branches, especially the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

All levels, sectors and localities are highly determined, making great efforts and taking drastic actions to complete socio-economic development goals, ensure security, national defense and social security in 2025, especially the growth target to successfully implement the socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period; reorganize the political system and operate two-level local governments...

In that context, emulation and reward work is a strong catalyst, a common rhythm, creating motivation and inspiration throughout society, continuing to strongly arouse patriotism, aspiration to contribute, and a vibrant competitive atmosphere across the country towards the 11th National Emulation Congress, party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress...

Recalling the tasks set out by the Council at the 12th Session, the Prime Minister said that many emulation movements were launched and implemented effectively, with high spreading effects. These were the movements: Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; emulation to build the 500 kV line 3 Pho Noi - Quang Trach, the 500 kV line Lao Cai - Vinh Yen; 500 days and nights to complete 3,000 km of expressway; emulation on "Digital Education for All"; emulation on lifelong learning...

According to the Prime Minister, the emulation and reward work continues to receive attention and direction from ministries, departments, branches and localities, with focus and key points, and is effectively organized. The work of honoring advanced models and rewarding is carried out promptly. The Central Emulation and Reward Council has promoted its role well, actively implemented many activities, and given correct, timely and effective advice.

Considering that the tasks from now until the end of the year are still very large, especially with just over 20 days to go until the 80th anniversary of National Day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested to promote emulation movements to complete the set goals; to do a good job of commending and awarding collectives and individuals of ministries, branches and localities with honorary state titles at important political events of the country to recognize, encourage and motivate collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements contributing to socio-economic development, building, developing and protecting the Fatherland.

The Prime Minister pointed out that it is necessary to follow the correct procedures, regulations, standards, policies and guidelines of the Party and laws of the State, thereby encouraging, motivating and promoting the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, the business community and all classes of people to compete, make efforts to contribute, and make important contributions to the common achievements of the country.
