At the meeting, reporting on the situation in Laos, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam expressed his gratitude for the attention and direction of the Prime Minister, affirming that he always excellently completed the tasks assigned by the Party and State.

Regarding the work of the representative agencies, the Ambassador said that in the Embassy, most of the research staff are highly qualified, dedicated, and dedicated to their work, contributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador pointed out that currently in Laos there are more than 100 thousand people living, distributed in 18 provinces; basically people are united towards their homeland and country. Currently, people are launching a movement to learn Vietnamese enthusiastically in the community.

Regarding economic cooperation, the Ambassador said that many Vietnamese enterprises are currently investing and doing business in Laos. The representative agencies are always deeply aware of their role as a bridge for the relationship between the two countries, always actively urging to remove difficulties, promoting the smooth implementation of investment projects of Vietnamese enterprises in localities in Laos.

In the coming time, the Embassy will strive to deepen the relationship between the two countries, making it more substantive and concrete, contributing to concretizing the agreements of the two countries' senior leaders. The representative agencies hope that the Party, State, ministries and branches will continue to pay attention, encourage and implement a number of related policies so that the agencies can operate smoothly, contributing to the completion of all tasks assigned by the Party and State.

In his speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the position and special importance of the sincere, open, and trustworthy relationship between the two countries; political requirements must remain the core of bilateral relations and must always be cultivated and nurtured.

Emphasizing that the economy has not developed commensurate with the relationship between the two countries, the Prime Minister therefore requested that Vietnamese representative agencies strengthen connections through businesses, nurture and support the team of businesses and entrepreneurs, exploit their strengths; develop businesses; and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens living and doing business in Laos.

The Prime Minister asked the Embassy to try to promote Vietnam's investment projects that have been implemented, and to resolve difficulties and problems in unfinished projects; to note that aid projects for the Lao side must not be spread out, but must be focused and key; to strengthen education work, and immediately resolve scholarships for Lao students because this is a strategic, long-term issue.

Vietnamese representative agencies in Laos need to do a good job in citizen and community work; strengthen solidarity, closely coordinate with the ASEAN Community in a practical and effective manner, and have many appropriate forms of exchange to strengthen cohesion within ASEAN countries, thereby enhancing mutual understanding.

For Vietnam's investment projects in Laos, they must be implemented with the spirit of saying what is said, doing what is committed, and delivering results and specific products. Regarding the field of training, this is a strategic issue, so the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos needs to further promote this issue.
