On September 21, 2025, the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control (Border Guard Command, Ministry of National Defense) and the Department of Drug Crime Investigation Police ( Ministry of Public Security ) coordinated with the Border Guard forces of the provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tinh and the Public Security of the provinces: Phu Tho, Dong Nai to successfully organize the fight against Project A825p.

The authorities arrested 20 subjects, seized 777.7 kg of synthetic drugs and many related exhibits and documents, ensuring absolute safety. This is a transnational drug trafficking and illegal transportation network with large quantities from abroad to Vietnam.

In the letter, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh warmly congratulated, commended and highly appreciated the special achievements and feats of the forces participating in the fight against the crime, and emphasized that the achievements of the forces demonstrated the spirit of initiative, determination in attacking and suppressing crime, bravery, intelligence, close and effective coordination between the Army and Police forces in the fight against drug crimes, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, protecting the peaceful and happy life of the people.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to promptly commend and propose worthy commendations for groups and individuals directly involved in solving cases; to widely propagate, learn from, and follow the spirit of determination and resoluteness in fighting and preventing crime of the Border Guard and Public Security units in the past; at the same time, to continue directing forces to step up the fight against all types of crime, especially transnational drug crimes, to prevent drugs from entering Vietnam, contributing to protecting the safety and happiness of the people.

Emphasizing that drug crime activities will become more and more complicated, sophisticated and daring, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong requested the Border Guard forces of provinces and cities, especially the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control, the Border Guard Command to continue to deploy and improve professional measures to assess and correctly identify the current situation of drug crime activities on the border lines to have more effective prevention and combat solutions, especially to thoroughly destroy large drug organizations and lines with transnational elements.

Closely coordinate with the police force in investigating and expanding the case, arresting related subjects, fully seizing exhibits and evidence, and strictly handling them according to the provisions of law; at the same time, promote the application of science, technology, and digital transformation to serve professional work.
