The Ministry of Construction has just sent an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province regarding the progress of site clearance for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway construction investment project (phase 1) under the PPP method.
According to the Ministry of Construction, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway construction investment project (phase 1) under the PPP method was started on August 19, 2025, and is expected to be basically completed in 2026.
However, according to the report of Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Investment Company Limited (Project Enterprise), up to now, the progress of handing over the site for the Project is still slow, some works and items belonging to the project's critical path have not been handed over the site to access the construction site, greatly affecting the design and construction progress of the Project.
To ensure progress, the Ministry of Construction requests the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to continue to pay attention and direct departments, branches, sectors and relevant local agencies and units to resolutely resolve difficulties and obstacles, speed up site clearance progress, and promptly hand over the project site in October 2025 to organize construction according to the signed project contract schedule, while meeting the requirements for disbursement of site clearance capital in 2025.
The Ministry of Construction proposed that the People's Committee of Dong Nai province consider immediately handing over the site at some priority locations and the project's progress critical road to access the construction site early for construction, especially the section Km40+700 - Km53+600 through Dinh Quan commune, Phu Hoa commune, Tan Phu commune and Phu Lam commune that needs to handle weak soil that needs to be loaded.
It is known that the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Construction Investment Project (Phase 1) is invested by the Joint Venture of Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company - Son Hai Group LLC; The Project Enterprise is Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Investment LLC.
The project is 60.24 km long, starting at the intersection with National Highway 1, connecting with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, in Dau Giay Commune, Dong Nai Province; ending at Km60+243.83 (end of the intersection with National Highway 20), connecting with the starting point of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Construction Project, in Phu Lam Commune, Dong Nai Province.
In phase 1, the route has geometric elements (plan, longitudinal profile) meeting the standards of a class 100 highway, with a scale of 4 lanes according to the standard, and a roadbed width of 17 m. At locations where soft soil is treated, the roadbed is excavated, raised, within the scope of interchanges, emergency stops, and bridge works on the highway, the cross-section is designed according to the scale of the completed phase, 24.75 m wide.
The project has a total investment capital of VND 8,496.66 billion, of which investor capital is VND 7,196.66 billion; state capital is VND 1,300 billion.
After being put into operation, the project will meet the transportation demand, reduce the load and ensure traffic safety on National Highway 20; complete and put into operation synchronously expressways with large capacity, traffic safety and high speed on the transport corridor of Ho Chi Minh City - Dau Giay - Lien Khuong, promoting the socio -economic development of Dong Nai province in particular and the Southeast region in general.
The expressway also contributes to creating a driving force for connection, promoting cooperation and development of the Southeast region with the Mekong Delta, the Central Highlands and the South Central region; increasing the competitiveness of the economy in the context of deep integration, gradually perfecting the road traffic network according to the plan; contributing to ensuring national defense and security.
