Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health received information from People's Hospital 115 reporting a medical incident on July 17, related to filler injection.

Accordingly, the patient is Mr. NVH (21 years old, Dong Nai) who had feng shui filler injections in the nose area in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City. The results of the investigation showed that the place where Mr. H. used the service was a shop with a signboard selling bread and sticky rice, and the first floor was a boarding house for students to rent. The place where the procedure was performed was a simple, messy bed.
Five minutes after the filler injection, Mr. H. experienced a headache accompanied by vomiting, pain in the right eye, blurred vision, and dizziness. Immediately afterward, Mr. H. was admitted to the Emergency Department at People's Hospital 115, then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for emergency treatment. After receiving the information, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health coordinated with the District 10 Health Department and local authorities to conduct verification.

The verification results showed that Ms. MTAL was the one who injected filler into Mr. H. on the first floor, which had a sign saying it sold bread and sticky rice. Ms. L. bought filler online for 300,000 VND/1cc. The facility had no legal documents related to medical examination and treatment activities. The District 10 Health Department coordinated with the Investigation Police Agency and District 10 Police to handle the case according to the law.
In fact, there are many cases where after filler injections at illegal cosmetic facilities, dangerous complications occurred, requiring hospitalization, and even cases of nasal necrosis, blindness... because they could not be cured.
The Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health recommends that people should be careful and carefully research beauty establishments before using them, especially should not choose beauty establishments based on the name on the signboard such as "beauty salon", "cosmetic institute"...
