Zubimendi is the third most expensive player on the summer transfer market in 2025 as of now.

Arsenal successfully recruited Zubimendi

Arsenal's homepage confirmed that it has completed the deal to recruit midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for a fee of 76.5 million USD. The Spanish player signed a 5-year contract with the Emirates team.

Real Madrid and Liverpool were interested in Zubimendi, but Arsenal showed superior determination. Coach Mikel Arteta was the key factor in convincing the 26-year-old midfielder to move to North London.

Zubimendi is known for his ability to win the ball back, intercept and start attacks – qualities Arsenal need to replace Thomas Partey and Jorginho. He is Arsenal’s second signing of the summer, after goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Tottenham have not given up on Kudus yet

Tottenham are still pursuing Mohammed Kudus after their initial offer of £50 million ($64 million) was rejected. The Ghanaian star also wants to join Spurs.

West Ham want at least £90 million ($115.2 million) to release Kudus, who is under contract until 2028. Chelsea are also interested, but are not keen on making a move as they have already spent heavily on attacking options, including Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Mamadou Sarr and Estevao.

Man City targets Denzel Dumfries to replace Kyle Walker

After parting ways with Kyle Walker (who moved to Burnley), Man City are looking for a replacement on the right wing. Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries is the top target.

The Dutch international has a 25 million euro ($27 million) release clause in his contract. Dumfries has impressed in four seasons in Serie A and has suited Pep Guardiola's style of play.

Gyokeres has come very close to Arsenal

Arsenal reach personal agreement with Gyokeres

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have reached a personal agreement with striker Viktor Gyokeres. The two sides agreed on a 5-year contract with a salary of about 150,000 pounds/week (192,000 USD/week) - double the current income of the Swedish striker at Sporting Lisbon.

However, the deal is still stuck on the transfer fee. Sporting wants 70 million pounds ($89.6 million) paid in full, while Arsenal hopes to negotiate installments.

Gyokeres has scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting since 2023, including 54 last season. He previously played in England for Coventry City, scoring 43 goals in two and a half seasons in the Championship.

Jhon Duran parted ways with Al Nassr and moved to Fenerbahce

Striker Jhon Duran will join Fenerbahce on a one-year loan after failing to meet expectations at Al Nassr.

Duran joined Al Nassr from Aston Villa earlier this year for a fee of £64 million ($82 million). He scored 12 goals in 18 games but decided to return to Europe to find more consistent playing opportunities.

Barcelona target Rashford and Leao after failing to sign Nico Williams

After Nico Williams renewed his contract with Athletic Bilbao, Barcelona turned to two other names: Marcus Rashford (Man United) and Rafael Leao (AC Milan).

Rashford is no longer in coach Ruben Amorim's plans and is ready to leave Old Trafford. The English striker also wants to move to La Liga to renew his career, but his salary of 300,000 pounds/week (384,000 USD/week) is a big barrier for Barca.

Meanwhile, Leao can only leave Milan if Barca agrees to pay around 70 million euros ($75.6 million).
