To meet the needs of visitors, the National Achievements Exhibition has been extended to September 15 instead of September 5 as before.
What is impressive is that despite the long duration, localities still continuously innovate and attract visitors to the Exhibition space thanks to attractive cultural and artistic activities imbued with local identity.
The exhibition of national achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day is not only a place to recreate the nation's development journey in many fields but also becomes a "common home" for localities to introduce and spread their own cultural identity.
Among them, artistic activities from Son La, Bac Ninh and Hue have created attractive highlights, taking visitors on a journey to experience a colorful cultural space.
Son La 's exhibition area impresses at first sight with its vibrant brocade dresses and the bustling sounds of gongs from the Thai community.
The artisans and artists brought to the Thai Xoe Art Exhibition - a heritage recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, making many tourists excited to join in the Xoe dance, hand in hand to connect solidarity.
Ms. Nguyen Ha Trang from Thanh Xuan, Hanoi shared: “I have watched Thai xoe dance many times, but today, I did not think that I would be able to directly participate in the National Achievement Exhibition. It feels so warm, like living in the Northwest spring festival space.”
Besides performing arts, Son La also introduces brocade weaving and typical cuisine, helping visitors fully experience the flavor of the mountainous region.
If Son La brings the hustle and bustle of the mountains, Bac Ninh leaves its mark with the lyricism and depth of Quan Ho folk songs - an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
In the exhibition space, the men and women in traditional Vietnamese costumes, including the three-piece and seven-piece dresses, and conical hats hummed love songs, creating a Kinh Bac atmosphere.
Not only performing, the artists also invite guests to join in singing and exchanging songs.
Many foreign tourists were delighted to try singing the smooth Quan Ho melodies.
A tourist from France shared: “I don’t understand all the lyrics, but the melody makes me feel peaceful and very close. This is truly the music of friendship and love.”
In addition, Bac Ninh also displays famous craft village products such as Dong Ho paintings, Phu Lang pottery, and culinary specialties, contributing to enriching the cultural experience for viewers.
Coming to Hue, visitors feel like they are lost in a memory of the ancient royal palace with Hue royal court music - the first world intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam recognized by UNESCO.
The sound of drums, moon lutes, clappers and graceful royal dances took the audience back to the royal palaces of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Not only stopping at the royal court, Hue also brings rustic, simple Hue folk songs, reminiscent of boat rowing sessions on the Perfume River.
The musical performances and the ao dai performances by the artists made the art space even more poetic.
The participation of localities such as Son La, Bac Ninh, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Hue... has brought to the Exhibition of National Achievements unique colors, representing the culture of the mountains, plains and Central regions.
From the bustling Xoe dance, the soulful Quan Ho singing, the melodious sound of the stone instrument flowing like a stream to the majestic royal court music, all blend together to create a vivid cultural picture rich in identity.
Not only stopping at introducing, these artistic activities also contribute to promoting tourism, arousing curiosity, urging tourists to come and experience.
Thereby, culture is not only preserved but also becomes a driving force for socio-economic development.
The National Achievements Exhibition is therefore not only an opportunity to look back on the 80-year journey of building and growing the nation, but also a place for culture to shine, affirming the everlasting vitality of national artistic values in the modern flow.
