Digitalization for Long-Term Exhibition Service

After many days of meaningful activities to introduce and display the outstanding achievements of the Country in 80 years of construction and development, the National Achievements Exhibition is about to close.

The exhibition welcomed millions of visitors, from students, veterans to international tourists, who had the opportunity to look back on the 80-year journey of building, protecting and developing the country since the historic autumn of the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945 until now.

Most of the people who visited the National Achievements Exhibition expressed their pride and emotion with the country's achievements in the 80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness in all aspects: from politics , society, military, culture, economy... of ministries, branches and 34 provinces and cities across the country. People felt like they were given more spiritual strength, inspired by the aspiration to build the country.

However, besides that pride and emotion, many opinions expressed the wish that the Exhibition's entire content would be "digitized" to serve long-term, helping the public access it more easily.

During the opening time, the exhibition areas with tens of thousands of documents, artifacts, images, and models left a deep impression. Many people said that if the exhibition just stopped after the closing, it would be a great regret.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lai (from Nam Dinh ) shared: "We went to visit, both emotional and proud. But we also hope that young people who live far away or are busy can experience this exhibition online. If it is digitized, I can let my grandchildren watch it at home."

Not only the elderly, but also the young are very interested in "digitalizing" the Exhibition. Nguyen Hoang Mai (from Hai Phong, currently a student at Hanoi National University) said: "At the Exhibition, there are many very attractive display areas, but the time is short so I have not had time to learn about them thoroughly. If the exhibition has an online version, I can review it at any time and also share it with friends at home and abroad."

Many people visiting the Exhibition 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey also expressed that this was a memorable journey, leaving many impressions and memories. Rarely has an exhibition provided a panoramic view of the country like this year's National Achievement Exhibition.

"If the entire Exhibition is digitized, people will have the opportunity to visit and experience it conveniently and with full information at any time through the screen," shared Ms. Tran Thi Ha (Bac Giang).

In addition, some opinions also said that the digitalization of the exhibition is also an opportunity for people who have not had the opportunity to visit the Exhibition in person to have the opportunity to visit it online. Even for those who have visited, through the "digitalization" of the Exhibition, it is also an opportunity to learn more about the places they have visited and experienced.

Each booth, each space of the ministries, branches and localities is a result of dedicated preparation, with a lot of intelligence, emotion and even funding... so if the Exhibition content can be digitized, it will also be a way to "preserve" it for the present and future generations.

Digitizing the Exhibition content is also a way to create a milestone for the next exhibitions on the occasion of the 85th, 90th anniversaries... On National Day, we can look back, be proud, and continue to promote the achievements we have made to move towards a brighter future.

Open up access opportunities

"I think it would be a pity if a meaningful event of such scale and stature as the National Achievement Exhibition only lasted a few weeks and then closed. If digitized, the Exhibition could become an "online museum" with long-lasting vitality, contributing to educating history and patriotic traditions for future generations," student Nguyen Hoang Mai added.

In the context of digital technology development, converting large exhibitions to online format has become a trend in many countries. With a historical event such as the Exhibition of National Achievements 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey, digitalization not only helps to preserve the integrity of data but also opens up access opportunities for the public at home and abroad.

In addition, when digitized, the Exhibition can integrate many modern technologies such as: 3D space recreating the galleries; Automatic explanations in many languages; Interactive documents, allowing viewers to look up more information, videos, images; Mobile applications, helping students easily study and research...

In fact, during the exhibition, some units experimented with putting the displayed images and videos on the online platform, attracting millions of visits. This further reinforced the belief that "digitalizing" the Exhibition is a feasible and practical direction.

The exhibition will eventually end, but the echoes and expectations of the people still remain. Digitizing the entire content is considered an effective solution to "expand" the time and space of the event, while strongly spreading the message about the 80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness throughout the thousands of years that the nation has experienced.
