TKV promotes the role of the labor safety and hygiene network

In the first 9 months of 2025, the Trade Unions of TKV units coordinated with specialized agencies in training skills and methods of operation for the occupational safety and health network every 2 years, with 7,000 occupational safety and health workers receiving professional training. Nearly 60,000 recommendations were made on safety techniques, working conditions, and labor protection, and were all promptly received and resolved by leaders at all levels. The work of inspecting, guiding activities, and attending periodic meetings at occupational safety and health teams was carried out with attention by the grassroots trade unions.

In particular, the 13th Excellent Safety and Health Contest was successfully organized, attracting 37 teams with 156 contestants from 32 units, organized in the form of a Gameshow combined with a written competition. This is also an opportunity for safety and health workers of the units to update their knowledge, improve their qualifications, skills, and activities of the safety and health network. At the same time, it propagates to a large number of cadres and workers to perform well in occupational safety and health work, and build a culture of occupational safety.

In the coal industry units, the OSH network is identified as the shock force to organize and implement OSH activities at production sites, production teams, production shifts and in the entire workshop. Promoting the strength of this force well helps to limit many shortcomings as well as potential risks of occupational accidents and equipment failures during the production process.

At Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company, at the end of September 2025, the Company's Trade Union coordinated with specialized departments and divisions to organize a 2025 occupational safety and health training class. There were 307 trainees from 38 units in the whole Company participating.

According to Mr. Bui Van Giang, Vice Chairman of the Unit's Trade Union, after a day of serious study under the guidance of experts, the trainees have grasped the basic knowledge of OSH laws, methods of identifying and assessing risks, skills in handling situations and ways to organize effective OSH activities at the unit. This is an important luggage for each trainee to promote the sense of responsibility, becoming a "safety gatekeeper" for colleagues. At the end of the training course, qualified trainees will be granted certificates according to regulations. This is both a recognition of their learning efforts and an affirmation of the commitment and responsibility of each OSH worker in contributing to building a safe, green - clean - sustainable working environment at Than Vang Danh.

Recently, at the conference on improving the quality of the OSH network organized by the TKV Trade Union, representatives of many units shared and proposed solutions to improve the quality and role of the OSH team, such as: Rotating core cleaners between departments; enhancing OSH training, thematic activities, exchanges and learning between OSH staff in units of the same profession; replicating the model of exemplary OSH teams; building an electronic OSH handbook for easy reference; researching and supplementing the operating regulations of the OSH network applied throughout the Group to suit current conditions; coordinating with professionals to strengthen inspection and evaluation of OSH work and timely encouragement and rewards...

Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu, Vice Chairman of TKV Trade Union, said: In the coming time, TKV Trade Union will continue to direct trade unions of affiliated units to research and improve the quality of selecting occupational safety and health workers with expertise, skills, and reputation, actively participating in occupational safety and health work; promote the application of digital technology in management, operation and propaganda of occupational safety and health; strengthen inspection, supervision, and promptly overcome existing problems. TKV Trade Union will also continue to propose to professional departments to coordinate in developing and supplementing regulations on occupational safety and health work, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the occupational safety and health network.

Promoting the effectiveness of the safety and health network throughout the Group is one of the bases contributing to building a safe, disciplined and effective working environment, creating a solid foundation for the stable and sustainable development of TKV in the coming time.
