Organize practical, unpretentious 2025 anniversary activities

On the afternoon of September 13, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung chaired a working session with units under the Ministry on plans to organize activities to celebrate major holidays, the 80th anniversary of the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Sector's Traditional Day and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Sector in 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that 2025 is a year with many important events for the country and the Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs sector, such as the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day , the 80th anniversary of the sector's tradition, and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs sector.

"Organizing these important events contributes to raising awareness among cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry, thereby arousing patriotism, pride, tradition as well as honoring generations who sacrificed for the country, for independence and unification.

Besides, through this event, we will encourage the patriotic emulation movement of the whole industry, to better carry out political tasks," the Minister emphasized.

The Minister noted that the Patriotic Emulation Congress must be organized extensively, practically, and without formality. Through that, units will strive to compete better in carrying out assigned political tasks.

The Minister directed that these commemorative activities need to be organized extensively, from local, grassroots levels up to the whole country. With appropriate organization methods and forms for each level and each sector, under the direct leadership of Party committees at all levels and Emulation Councils at all levels.

Regarding the organization of activities at the Central level, the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs noted to focus highly on 3 major activities.

Firstly, to honor shining examples who have silently worked for the community. This activity is scheduled to take place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and Vietnam Social Work Day.

The activity aims to honor shining examples, workers who sacrifice themselves for the community such as nurses taking care of children with special needs, page managers, role models for the community...

Second, is the activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day. Regarding this activity, the Minister reported to General Secretary and President To Lam and received the approval of key officials for the organization direction.

In addition, according to the plan of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, the Ministry will organize a ceremony to honor those with meritorious services and historical witnesses, focusing on those with meritorious services such as war invalids, families of martyrs, revolutionary veterans, captured and imprisoned revolutionary soldiers, and people in revolutionary war zones who have never visited Uncle Ho's Mausoleum...

To carry out this activity, the Ministry will coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Propaganda Committee, the Central Mass Mobilization Committee, and the Central Emulation and Commendation Council to advise and report in writing to the Prime Minister and the Secretariat.

The third is the event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the industry's tradition and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress. This is an industry event, the Minister assigned the Department of Social Protection to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and offices.

Along with that, the office block was assigned tasks related to the industry's Patriotic Emulation Congress. This event created an opportunity for industry officials to meet and be recognized.

Concluding the working session, the Minister requested that the assigned units quickly develop an implementation plan and submit it to the Party Executive Committee and the Ministry's leaders for consideration. At the same time, the presiding units, when developing the plan, need to identify and assign specific and detailed tasks to relevant units during the implementation process.

At the meeting, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung reviewed reports and gave instructions to the National Office on Poverty Reduction and relevant units in implementing the Plan to organize the launching ceremony and call for support for the Fund for the whole country to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households, scheduled to be held in October this year.
